Phil Savill

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we reach the halfway point of Term 3, there’s a strong sense of purpose and momentum across the school. In both classrooms and playgrounds, a genuine enthusiasm for learning and connection is evident. Whether students are deepening their understanding in literacy and numeracy or engaging in creative and active pursuits, it’s wonderful to see students applying themselves with focus, confidence and growing independence.

As our teachers continue to guide and support each student, we’re proud of the positivity and persistence our learners are demonstrating as they approach the assessment period and take on new challenges. A clear and encouraging reflection of the supportive, high-expectation culture we are building together. Thank you for the part families play in this - your involvement and encouragement make a real difference.

There's beeen much to acknowledge and enjoy, from celebrating our dedicated learers through the GROW Well Awards, to our Prep students marking 100 days of learning.  We’ve seen the return of our Year 6 students from their unforgettable Canberra and Sydney adventures, launched our Term 3 Signature Programs for Years 4–6, celebrated our incredible leadership team on Principals' Day and our love of reading at Book Fair.  We are now turning our energy to a full calendar of events in the second half of August, ranging from instrumental performances and excursions to Book Week celebrations. We’re also thrilled that the P&C’s Black Tie Gala has sold out and I thank you for your incredible support.

Gumdale_90_Celebration_Day_760_x_365_px_.png

However, it’s the anticipation building across the school for our headline event in August - our 90th Anniversary Celebration Day and Colour & Slime Fun Run - that’s really capturing everyone’s excitement. With just over a week to go, we look forward to sharing this special milestone with the whole school community. Thank you to everyone who’s jumped into the spirit of fundraising - we’re well on our way to a new playground!

As always, we acknowledge and appreciate your ongoing support in all these educational endeavours and also as we navigated the protected industrial action, when student wellbeing and safety remained our top priorities.

    Always our best,

    Prep - Rhiannon Dicken

It has been an absolute pleasure joining the team at Gumdale State School as the Deputy Principal for Prep. From my very first day, I’ve felt so welcomed by the staff, students, and families. Our Preps have had a fantastic start to Term 3. It's been wonderful to see how confidently and calmly they've settled back into their routines. As I visit classrooms, I’m continually impressed by the calm, positive learning environments and it's especially exciting to see them applying their growing knowledge of sounds in both reading and writing.

Our Prep students reached an exciting milestone on 23 July - 100 days of learning at Gumdale State School! We are incredibly proud of their progress and enthusiasm throughout the year. To celebrate, our Prep teachers organised a day full of fun activities.  It was a joyful day filled with laughter, creativity, and a strong sense of community as we marked being 100 days brighter together!

I look forward to getting to know you all and supporting our Preps as they continue to grow and thrive this Semester.

We also had an exciting visit from Big Bang Education during Science Week. Students learned about pushes, pulls, rolling, sliding, and bouncing. It was a fantastic way to bring our science learning to life and inspire our young scientists.

Last month, Steve Minnikin MP, State Member for Chatsworth, visited Gumdale State School to show his support for our students and school community by presenting a $30,000 grant to our Gumdale State School Parents & Citizens Association. He spent time reading with our excited Prep students, helping to inspire a lifelong love of books and learning. As part of his annual tradition, he also donated a book to our growing library, a contribution that will be enjoyed by students for years to come.

    Years 1 & 2 – Nicola Leslie

I’ve had such a warm welcome since joining Gumdale as Deputy Principal for Years 1 and 2, and I’m grateful to be part of this vibrant community. With over 20 years’ experience in school leadership across rural, metropolitan, and system-level roles, I’m passionate about providing high-quality education and ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our students’ kindness, curiosity, and humour brighten my day, and I look forward to supporting them in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.

Each week, I love visiting our student clubs, and this week I was especially delighted to pop into the Year 1 and 2 Sewing Club. Students were proudly sewing their names, and it instantly brought back fond memories of my own school days, as well as time spent sewing with my mum and nana. It warmed my heart to see our students enjoying such a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, made possible by our dedicated teachers. These moments not only foster creativity and persistence but also create lasting memories our students will treasure.

    NAPLAN Results

In April the Year 3 and Year 5 students participated in NAPLAN testing. Paper copies of the 2025 individual student reports were sent home earlier in the term.

The digital version of the report is now available. If you would like a digital copy of the report, or have any questions,  please contact our NAPLAN coordinator: Kate Rossignol via admin@gumdaless.eq.edu.au

This year marks a major milestone in Gumdale State School’s history - our 90th Anniversary! We’re proud to celebrate nine decades of learning, growth, and community spirit with a special Celebration Day for students in Week 7 on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.

Our students will enjoy a full day of fun and engaging activities designed to honour our past and celebrate our present. The day will begin with a whole school assembly in Hollis Hall, followed by a commemorative group photo on Todd Gerhardt Oval. Throughout the day, students will rotate through a variety of fun experiences including a school disco, Colour & Slime Fun Run, and classroom-based celebration activities.

To help the day run smoothly students should:

    • arrive in formal school uniform
    • bring a complete change of spare clothes
    • a white t-shirt for the colour run (suitable for getting colourful and messy)
    • towel, hat, water bottle
    • plastic bag for used items.

Participation is free and does not require consent. However, parents/carers are requested to complete the no consent form for students who will not be participating.

This special day is a chance for students to connect, have fun, and take pride in being part of Gumdale’s rich history. We can’t wait to see the excitement and energy as we celebrate everything that makes Gumdale great.

Let’s make it a day to remember!

Gumdale 90 Celebration Day for FB.png

This year, Gumdale State School will celebrate turning 90 years old! To commemorate this special milestone, we invited former students of Gumdale State School to participate in a short survey answering the question: Where are you now?

A sincere thank you to everyone who submitted a response to the survey!

    Barbara Harris, Attended 1966-1968

Barbara is a past student, and a current grandparent of Gumdale students. She has plenty of fond memories of her time at Gumdale in the mid 1960s, and recalls what a long walk it was from her home on Boston Road to school each day!

Barabara has kindly provided 2 class photos taken in front of A or B Block, one from 1966 and the other from 1967. Thank you for sharing with us, Barbara!

    Denise Halfpapp, Class of 1967

    Where_are_they_now.Denise_Halfpapp.jpeg

Now a proud grandmother of a current and future Gumdale student, Denise reflects fondly on her time at Gumdale.

A retired business owner, she remembers the joy of being included in sports teams regardless of skill level, and the strong sense of community that inspired her love of learning.

If there were a Gumdale Hall of Fame, she’d be known for simply being 'happy'. Her advice to students: Enjoy every day, listen to your teachers and work hard.

Seona Walker (nee Smith), Class of 1986

As School Captain, Dux and Sports Captain, Seona certainly demonstrated Always our Best in the early 1980s!

As a much smaller school with around 130 students, Seona loved the sense of community and recalls a time capsule being buried in 1985 - to be opened in 2035!

She lists a raft of memories that have stayed with her - playing recorder on morning parade, cross country through the back bush and playing with kids of all ages and backgrounds.

Seona has gone on to become a mum and a musician, and offers this advice to current Gumdale students: These Gumdale years are magic, enjoy them! There are so many more exciting chapters ahead!

    Jesse, Class of 1998

Now a parent of two current students, Jesse’s ties to Gumdale run deep—his mother was also a Teacher Aide at the school.

Still close with several classmates, Jesse credits Gumdale State School for setting him up for success. Today, he works as a Principal Treasury Analyst for the Queensland Government.

His advice to students? Listen to your teachers and enjoy your time at school.

    Anonymous, Class of 1999

Now a parent to sons and a nephew at Gumdale, this past student fondly remembers Mr Harris as a teacher and has stayed in touch with classmates over the years.

Grateful for the amazing teachers at Gumdale, they credit those early influences for shaping the educator they are today.

    Phoebe Macintosh, Class of 2002

Now a General Manager in the energy sector, Phoebe fondly remembers the vibrant community spirit of Gumdale in the '90s.

While her career path took a different direction, inspiring teachers at Gumdale sparked her lifelong interest in ancient cultures and art. Known back then as a bit of a 'goody two shoes', Phoebe’s favourite memories include the school fetes—craft stalls, tombola and parents getting into the fun.

Her advice to students? Work hard and be nice!

    Current Parent, Class of 2006

It's a full circle moment for one 2006 graduate whose child attends Prep at Gumdale! Now working as a teacher, she said that her time at Gumdale gave her the best foundations for her learning.

Her favourite memories include sports days filled with support and cheer and she is still in touch touch with some of her classmates.

    Anonymous, Class of 2007

We heard from one past student who says their experience at Gumdale inspired them to become a teacher - and they are now teaching overseas in Tokyo!

A core memory of this particular alumni is of performing in Drama classes and shows with their friends, and of drama teacher Helen Goleby, saying it really helped them to come out of their shell and build their self confidence.

Still connected to Gumdale through family, this past student encourages current students to try anything that the school has to offer.

    Abbey, Class of 2016

Many Gumdale families might know Abbey as their local babysitter, and she credits the caring Gumdale State School environment for helping guide her into her career as a nanny and disability support worker. Abbey's favourite memories include playing basketball with her friends at lunchtime in the hall and doing Just Dance before school.

Abbey's advice to current Gumdale students? Be kind and honest, and push through to high school because primary school are the best years of your life.

    S. Ramanathan, Class of 2020

This former student said her time at Gumdale helped her find her passion for science. She particularly loved the music program and was in the choir and band - but made the most of all the opportunities offered, including the Science Fair, Art Show and playing interschool volleyball.

Her claim to fame was winning the sailing race in Year 6, and wants to encourage all Gumdale students to enjoy and have fun

    Layla, Class of 2020

    Where_are_they_now_Layla.jpeg

Layla still keeps in touch with a few friends from her Gumdale days and fondly remembers playing handball at school.

Now working at a cinema, she offers this simple but meaningful advice to current students: Listen and learn.

    Bethany, Class of 2020

Bethany remembers Gumdale as the place that helped build her confidence and shaped her caring nature—she’d be known in the Hall of Fame for “thinking of others.”

Her favourite memories include playing tag and touch on the oval, and her advice to current students is simple: Just have fun and enjoy it.  She adds, Thank you Gumdale for being the best primary school.

    Phillip, Class of 2005

Now a Mechanical Engineer, Phillip credits Gumdale with encouraging his love of learning.

As Fraser House Captain, one of his proudest memories was winning the Cross Country.  If there were a Hall of Fame, he’d be remembered for his leadership and team spirit.

His advice to current students: Embrace learning and develop friendships.

    Lance Edie, Class of 1970

Now retired, Lance remembers his Gumdale teachers as strong role models who helped shape his path.

Known for his love of sport, he fondly recalls athletic activities more than academics.
If there were a Hall of Fame, he’d be recognised for his sporting spirit.

His advice to students: Keep up your studies for your future—and enjoy your education and friends.

    Liam, Class of 2019

Currently a student with plans to study psychology, Liam credits Gumdale with helping shape his values and development—especially through the guidance of Mr Savill and the school’s supportive structure.

Known for his cricket skills, one of his favourite memories is winning the local Rugby League premiership in 2018 and progressing through district games.

He’s still in touch with classmates and shares this advice: Take all of the opportunities you can—Gumdale offers so much, and it’s a blessing to be part of such a great school.

    A. Ful, Class of 2020

Now a Year 11 student at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, A. Ful reflects on her time at Gumdale as deeply formative—thanks to nurturing teachers and meaningful friendships.

She fondly remembers sailing lessons as a standout experience, and says she’d be known in the Hall of Fame for being one of the few Chinese students at the time.

Her advice to current students: Enjoy your primary school years—they fly by! Try new things, spend less time on devices, and have lots of fun every day. Gumdale has had a lasting impact on both my education and personal growth. I strongly recommend it!

    Kirra Rankin, Class of 1991

    Where_are_they_now_Kirra_Rankin.jpeg

Now living in Canberra, Kirra is an Exercise Physiologist and business owner of Capital Hydrotherapy. She still keeps in touch with a couple of close friends from her Gumdale days.

As 1991 House Captain and a cross-country record holder, she’d be known in the Hall of Fame for her athletic achievements—and she still runs today!

Her fondest memories include PE with Mr Foster, buying 5-cent red frogs with friends, and catching the local school bus with Les.

Her advice to students: Dream big, stay humble and kind—and limit your screen time!

    Tamarin Chandler, Class of 1986

Still living in Gumdale, Tamarin is now a solicitor and proud Gumdale parent—her eldest graduated in 2022, her middle child is in Grade 2, and her youngest is set to start Prep in 2026.

She remembers being encouraged to be creative and strive for success, and would be known in the Hall of Fame for being “super friendly.”
One of her fondest memories? Wearing an ice cream container hat during cross country to avoid swooping from “Mad Max” the magpie!

Her advice to students: Get involved—there’s something for everyone at Gumdale!  It’s lovely to see the community spirit is just as strong today as it was when I was a child.

    Harley Malpass, Graduated in 2016

Still living in Wynnum, Harley is now a tennis coach and cricket player.
He left Gumdale in 2016, but still keeps in touch with classmates and teachers.

Harley says learning to connect with different people from a young age helped him thrive in team environments and high-performance settings, and he would be known for being a cricket player.

His fondest memories? School discos, Friday interschool competitions, and athletics days.

His advice to students: Get involved with as many things as you possibly can. Try new things - you never know what skills you might discover and where they could lead you. Always have a go!  Gumdale gave me the confidence to meet new people and build friendships that still matter today.

    Zara Schmidt, Class of 2016

Now a university student and working in OSHC, this 2016 Gumdale graduate still lives locally and has a nephew currently attending the school.

She says she loverd her teachers and that their influence led her to pursue teaching at university.

Zara would be known for her studious nature and she fondly remembers the friendships and people who made her time at Gumdale special

Her advice to students: Keep having fun and find a good group of friends who encourage you to be the best version of yourself.

    Ian King, Teacher 1976-1989

A former teacher at Gumdale from 1976 to 1989, Ian now lives in Manly West and is enjoying retirement. After officially leaving Gumdale, he returned for supply work over a five-year period from 2008, reconnecting with familiar faces and fond memories.

He still keeps in touch with former colleagues and remembers the early days of teaching at Gumdale when the school had just seven classes, including the principal teaching one of them. “I would have been happy to stay at Gumdale,” Ian recalls, “but the Education Department had other ideas and transferred me to Camp Hill.”

When Ian heard about the upcoming anniversary, he pulled out his old class photos and memorabilia. “The Gumdale Hall of Fame should include some of the students I taught and coached - like Paul Green and Boden Hansen,” he says.

Ian’s memories of Gumdale include coaching Rugby League, Soccer, Australian Football, Cricket, and Athletics, and organising Sports Days where every child took part in athletics and ball games. He remembers the house teams (Apollo and Mars) and the school motto at the time: Always our best.  “That should apply to academic work, sport, and of course how we treat others - and ourselves.”

His hope for the future?  That the caring, family nature of the school I knew in the ’70s and ’80s doesn’t change - even as the ‘family’ grows.

    Tammy, Class of 2005

Tammy is currently one of our dedicated cleaning team at Gumdale, helping keep our school tidy and ready for learning each day.

Her fondest memory from Gumdale is the Country Fair that used to be held every year which brought the whole community together.

Tammy says to current students: Make the most of your time in Primary School as these are the memories you’ll look back on when you’re older.

    Nathan Sharrock, Class of 2003

    Nathan_Sharrock.jpeg

Now living between Hobart, Nathan is the General Manager of the Royal Hobart Golf Club. He stays connected with classmates mostly through social media.

Reflecting on his time at Gumdale, he says the school was a place that supported each child’s unique path, helping guide the many different directions they all took.

If Gumdale had a Hall of Fame, he believes he’d be known for nurturing the differences in everyone.

One of his fondest memories is reading time after lunch in the old double-story building, feeling the breeze flowing through on a hot day. His advice to current students: Be yourself and try your hardest.

    Jess Bertolone, Class of 2012

Jess is now living in Perth and working as a Material Logistics Officer and Service Technician in the Pilbara mines. Thanks to social media, Jess stays connected with a few classmates and teachers, keeping those Gumdale friendships alive.

One of Jess’ fondest memories is the old Country Fairs — events that brought the community together and made school life so memorable.

Jess’ advice to current students is simple: Listen, learn, and do things you’re passionate about.

    Decoding The Universe

During Week 5, Gumdale State School proudly celebrated National Science Week, embracing this year’s theme, Decoding the Universe. A diverse range of activities was facilitated across all year levels, designed to spark curiosity, foster problem-solving skills, and inspire our young learners to see themselves as scientists, engineers, and innovators.

In the senior sector, students took part in a range of coding and robotics challenges that brought real-world STEM applications to life. Sphero BOLTs were used to develop or enhance navigational and coding skills, with students programming precise movement sequences and testing them in real time. Blue Bots provided opportunities to explore location, direction, and mapping concepts, linking digital navigation with spatial reasoning. Ozobots were guided across intricate Exoplanet maps, requiring students to apply their coding knowledge to plan efficient travel routes between planets. Micro:bits were used to measure and compare gravitational speeds, linking coding with data collection and analysis.

Our junior students enjoyed a variety of hands-on, exploratory activities. At the Sensory Boxes table, students used only their senses to guess the mystery items hidden inside, sharpening their observation and inference skills. The Cosmic Code Crackers station encouraged algorithmic thinking as students designed and built patterned LEGO space aliens, combining creativity with early coding concepts. At the Alien Life Decoder table, students created imaginative alien life forms using playdough, integrating discussions about adaptations and environments. The Microscope Explorer station allowed students to look closely at natural objects, revealing hidden details and encouraging scientific curiosity about the world around them.

Science Week was a fantastic celebration of curiosity, innovation, and discovery. Through coding, robotics, and hands-on STEM challenges, our students had the opportunity to develop 21st-century skills while having plenty of fun exploring the mysteries of our universe.

    Year 1 Queensland Museum Artifacts

To deepen their understanding of Australian wildlife, our Year 1 students have been exploring a fascinating collection of artefacts on loan from the Queensland Museum. Real-life specimens included a juvenile koala and wombat, a small sugar glider, eucalyptus leaves, native seeds, and pieces of bark.

All students had the opportunity to examine the artefacts up close, ask thoughtful questions to extend their understanding, and apply their new knowledge in anticipation of this week’s excursion to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to explore these animals and natural items in person. This experience not only fostered excitement for their upcoming excursion, but also helped build their vocabulary, enrich their descriptive language, and deepen their classification skills in preparation for their end of term English assessment.

    Prep Big Bang Education

Our Preps had an exciting visit from Big Bang Education during Science Week. The incursion focused on exploring the different ways things move, sparking curiosity and wonder in our Prep students. Through hands-on demonstrations, engaging experiments, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, the children learned about pushes, pulls, rolling, sliding, and bouncing. It was an exciting way to connect our science learning with real-life experiences and inspire future scientists.

Gumdale State School will be celebrating Book Week with our much-loved Book Week Parade, an annual highlight of the school year that brings stories to life!

All students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character, with Prep – Year 2 students taking part in the parade with their class.

    Date: Wednesday 20 August
    Time: 9:00am
Location: Spine Pathay - map attached

Families are welcome to attend and support students as they showcase their imaginative costumes on the oval. Whether it’s a classic or a new favourite, we can’t wait to see the wonderful ways students bring book characters to life.

Thank you for fostering a love of reading in our school community.

    Sporting Opportunities

At Gumdale State School, we’re committed to offering a broad range of sporting opportunities to suit every student. Whether through specialist programs such as sailing, or engaging and inclusive groups like Run Club, we strive to create a supportive environment that encourages all students to get involved. We’re continually proud of the excellent attitude, behaviour, and sportsmanship our students show, celebrating their achievements both within school and in wider competitions.

    Signature Sport

Signature Programs for students in Years 4 to 6 commenced at the beginning of Term 3.  This year, students have enjoyed new additions to our sporting and creative programs, including HIIT, futsal and optical rifle, as well as netball, coding and robotics, touch, equestrian, diving, sailing, karate and mountain biking.

Well done to all students who have stepped outside their comfort zones to try new sports. Along the way, they’ve made new friends and strengthened their skills in activities they enjoy.  Our students have consistently demonstrated outstanding behaviour at all activities, showing respect, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude that makes us proud.  We can’t wait to see all students continue actively engaging with their peers and specialised coaches.

    Indigenous Games

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations last term, our Year 3 and Prep students took part in Indigenous games facilitated by Be Skilled Be Fit. It was a wonderful morning filled with inclusive, fun, and engaging activities that provided valuable learning experiences for all involved. At the conclusion of the event, Year 3 student Kenzie and Prep B student Harper placed their handprints on the Indigenous banner to proudly represent Gumdale State School.

    Athletics Day Carnival

Congratulations to all the students for your fantastic effort and enthusiasm in participating in the Junior and Senior Athletics Carnivals. Your energy, sportsmanship, and dedication made the days a great success! A special congratulations goes to our Age Champions: Emily H, Ollie O, Emmi V, Isaac M, Annabel C, Baxter B, Isla V, Sal A, Georgia C, and Daniel G. Well done to our winning house Minjerribah!

    Touch Football

Congratulations to the students from Years 5 and 6 who have been selected for the touch football squads.  Teams will be chosen from these squads to compete in the All Schools and Blues Touch competitions later in the year.  Training is held on Friday mornings at 7:45am before school and will continue in Term 3.  All squad members are strongly encouraged to attend the Wednesday morning Run Club to improve their running technique and overall fitness.

    Upcoming competitions

    • Blues Cup - Runcorn State High School on 13 & 14 September
    • Osprey Touch - Wellington Point State High on 17 September
    • Primary All Schools - Redlands Touch Association on 31 October - 2 November

    Netball

Netball players have been working hard each session, practising and developing ball skills, passing, and court drills. We have seen significant improvement in catching and passing skills, preparing them to take on competitions later in the year. We wish the netball players all the very best as they compete in the Primary Schools Gala on the 11 August and the Vicki Wilson Firechicks Competition on the 4 September. Gumdale was also invited to participate in a third netball competition, the Met East Netball Cup, scheduled for 14 August. Weekly training began in Week 3, Term 3 at 8:00am on Thursday mornings on the multisport courts beside Paul Green Oval.

    Elite Sailing

The Blue and Red sailing squads have recommenced elite sailing on Friday afternoons at RQYS for extra coaching sessions led by a professional coach and Mr Fuller. These dedicated students choose to participate outside of regular school lessons to sharpen their sailing skills. Their goal is to confidently handle a boat solo in a variety of conditions and to compete in higher-level sailing events. We’re proud of the significant progress they’ve made and look forward to seeing their continued success in Term 3.

    Sailing

Year 5 sailing has now commenced at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, and we are incredibly proud of the students’ courage and enthusiasm as they embrace this exciting sport. They have shown a positive attitude and outstanding behaviour throughout the sessions, demonstrating respect for their instructors and peers while out on the water.  During their first lesson, students travelled by power boat all the way to King Island, where they were lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins. It’s been wonderful to see them confidently stepping out of their comfort zones and developing new skills on the water.

    Swimming and Swim Squad

The Gumdale Swim Squad takes place each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:00am to 8:00am at the Chandler swimming complex.  Squad swimmers are working with their coaches to develop their racing skills for all four competition strokes and to build their swimming fitness.  The Swimmer of the Term award goes to Imogen W for applying herself with a positive attitude during swim training.

Year 4 students will participate in a series of swimming lessons throughout Term 3 as part of Gumdale's physical education program. These lessons aim to develop water safety awareness, build swimming skills, and promote confidence in and around the water.

    Bayside District Track and Field

Gumdale State School students represented our school at the Bayside District Track and Field Carnival, delivering an outstanding performance with each student showcasing incredible talent, determination, and sportsmanship. Overall, we placed 7th out of 39 schools. Well done to students who have made it through to the next level, competing for a position on the Met East Track and Field team on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 August at QSAC. A special commendation to Annabel C for her incredible achievement in breaking the 1500m Bayside District record! Her determination, focus, and hard work truly paid off, and this milestone is a testament to her outstanding talent. We’re excited to see what they achieve next and look forward to hearing all about their results.

    Community_Support_Program.png

    Did you know?

Gumdale State School has a Community Support Program to assist families within our school who are facing a severe family trauma. This support is offered in a highly confidential and sensitive manner.

Support is provided by way of food hampers, lunches for students and assistance with costs related to uniforms, school supplies and excursions/school activities.

    How can you help?

Hampers rely heavily on support from families within our community, and we are very grateful for any donations of gift cards and non-perishable items (food, toiletries, books, games, toys). Donations can be left in the collection box in Student Services.
