Technology
Year 2
This term, we have practiced, designed and created a card with a moving part for a special adult. Students have worked hard refining their accuracy and followed instructions in order to make their cards. They have reflected on their work and evaluated if they are happy with the finished product. It has been wonderful seeing them take so much care as they have created their designs.

Year 2 Technology
Year 4
Term 3 of Year 4 means only one thing – The Egg Drop Challenge! Students have brought in their materials, build and tested their designs, often refining as they go and reflecting on their results. We have been so engaged and encouraging of each other as we built and tested, as well as answering questions about our designs, including what materials they chose to use and how they considered sustainability.

Year 4 Technology
Year 6
Students have been working in pairs to build a simple automaton built around a spring loaded peg to create movement. They collaboratively created their designs using the peg to make it ‘flap’ when attached. Some wonderful designs were brought to life and sparked plenty of imaginative options. Students also completed an assessment demonstrating their understanding of their digital footprint and positive ways to manage theirs as their digital presence increases.
