Book Week Character Parade
Book Week Parade
On Tuesday 20 August, our school was alive with colour, creativity, and excitement as students stepped into the shoes (and costumes!) of their favourite literary characters for our annual Book Week Character Parade. The school paths transformed into a vibrant runway of imagination, as students proudly paraded their outfits, each one telling its own story.
From classic book characters to modern-day heroes, it was wonderful to see the joy and pride on students' faces as they celebrated the magic of reading. Thank you to all the parents and caregivers for your efforts in helping bring these characters to life through such thoughtful and imaginative costumes. We also extend our gratitude to all staff members who worked behind the scenes to make the day possible.
With the help of a Green Screen, students took their characters beyond the parade by designing their own personalised book covers. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to combine creativity with digital skills, turning their costumes into living, breathing stories.
The day was a wonderful reminder of how stories can come to life in the most creative and inspiring ways. We can’t wait to see what next year’s Book Week will bring!
